Ben A. Baring is an appellate law specialist at DeLange, Hudspeth, McConnell & Tibbets. Mr. Baring has handled appeals in a majority of the Texas Courts of Appeal as well as the Texas Supreme Court. He has also handled many federal appeals, having represented clients in appeals to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and in bankruptcy appeals to the federal district courts. He is board certified in civil appellate law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Baring received a BBA with honors from the University of Texas at Austin in 1977. He earned his law degree at the University of Houston Law School in 1980. After serving one year as a briefing attorney for the Fourteenth Court of Appeals in Houston, he joined the firm in 1981. He is licensed to practice in Texas state and federal courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Baring is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Houston Bar Association, the Appellate Section of the State Bar of Texas and the Houston Appellate Practice Section.
