Houston Litigation and Business Lawyers
For nearly a century, De Lange Hudspeth attorneys have provided a creative approach to the legal and business issues facing our clients. Since 1916, De Lange Hudspeth attorneys have been highly regarded for our integrity, work ethic, and the quality of our legal advice.
Firm History
The law firm that became De Lange Hudspeth had its beginnings in Galveston, Texas when, in 1916, Maco Stewart hired Albert De Lange, who had graduated first in his class from the University of Texas law school. Stewart and De Lange practiced law together in Galveston from 1916 until 1920, when De Lange opened the Houston office of Stewart & De Lange. In 1946, C. M. “Hank” Hudspeth received his law license and joined De Lange in the practice of law, and they continued to practice together until De Lange’s death in 1963. De Lange Hudspeth attorneys have continued to represent clients influenced by the strong personalities of our founding partners. De Lange Hudspeth today is one of Texas’ oldest law firms and the traits of its founders are evidenced in its attorneys – vigorous representation of clients with integrity and competence.
